Animal Crossing Wild World on the DS question about catalog?

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

I can’t order from the catalog at Tom Nook’s store. When I go to him Click on Tom Nook. there are options “I want to Sell”,”Catalog, please”, “Turnip prices” and “Never Mind”…soooo I click on “Catalog please” right?! Tom Nook says ” I must apologize! I’m all booked up with orders” and it only leaves you the choice to click the blue arrow…and he continues “So, Obviously. I can’t accept any new orders, yes?” and once again I click and he continues ” I’m awfully sorry, but I’ll be happy to accept your order another time!” “Well, is there anything else I can do for you?” and it gives me the regular menu all over….

What am I doing wrong here? here’s what I have done so far:

1. paid off mortgage enough where I have 3 downstairs rooms and one upstairs room. plus that bedroom with the phone..u know the one u can’t decorate…
2. Tom has upgraded his store, he has a beauticians she’s a poodle, and he has an upstairs where his nephews have a furniture store…
3. wasn’t sure if this was a problem…but I made sure my mailbox was empty.
4. got bells!
5. pockets are empty. I have a couple mail but got room there too..
6. AND I tried first thing in the morning too, as well at other times during the day…

I don’t ever call using the catalog…was wanting to try it…

tottokohamutarochan, good questions I have not thought to put out there…
1. I have no other characters.
2. gates closed. haven’t opened it in ages..lol which also means I have no visitors.
Thanks so much for racking your brain, but guess what I figured it out on my own. took me long enough…I feel such a fool..course I was cheating and going thru time to plant LOTS of fruit and selling fruit and going back in time for MORE fruit..so the clock was not set with the DS clock and was messing all that up…it is now set for the correct time…which I will…probably …leave it there lol. but I will apponint you as best answer since you replied so fast and FIRST! Thanks for trying!

US Treasury wants to borrow record 550 billion dollars? From where? The banks already took $700 billion?

Friday, August 28th, 2009

The US Treasury said Monday it would seek to borrow a record 550 billion dollars in the October-December period to help stabilize the financial sector hammered by the global credit crisis.
http://news.yahoo.com/s/afp/20081103/pl_afp/financeeconomyustreasury;_ylt=AiglGEiIY9U7MGUFu8Mo4M5h24cA

Who do they plan on borrowing this from? The government has already bled the US citizens dry while taking away our jobs. Do they expect to get blood out of a turnip? Maybe they will start asking the illegals to pull their own weight?

Adult picky eater?

Saturday, August 22nd, 2009

My boyfriend is a picky eater - he KNOWS it’s unhealthy and has made a New Year’s Resolution to change this. However, I also really want him to continue to enjoy his food as it’ll be harder to stick to this resolution if dinner every night is a misery.
His main problem is that he doesn’t like ‘bits’ or ’surprises’ - eg. he doesn’t like spaghetti and meatballs, because the meatballs are full of bits of meat, onion, and herbs. He also doesn’t like tomato.
He eats most meats, but doesn’t like eating right off the bone, so will eat his way around the bone without ever touching it, leaving nearly half of it. Also has a problem with fat (which is fine!) - but will also tend to leave the meat surrounding the fat - this makes even steak a problem!
Veggies: eats potatoes, carrot, parsnip, turnip, pumpkin and apparently celery. Won’t touch onion.
Basically, I’m looking for any suggestions to help him eat more veg and broaden his food horizons while still having enjoyable dinners.
Thanks!!!

Howrse crop values?

Tuesday, August 4th, 2009

Does anyone who plays Howrse know which crops have the best financial return? How many crops average do you get from 3 acres of alfalfa, barley, etc on a fertile field (values with different types -or lacking- pesticide and fertilizer would be appreciated)? How much is each crop worth? Do other sellable crops change value like turnips?

I need some Okami help?

Saturday, August 1st, 2009

This past summer, I started up a game of Okami, but I put it away and I’m just NOW resuming it after being so busy for so long. Because of that, I have no idea what I am supposed to be doing. Basically, I just freed Chun in Sasa Sanctuary, I got the water flowing in the bath house again, I did that stupid digging game with the bamboo man, I picked a fight with Take/Gi of the Canine Warriors, went to Agata Forest and picked a fight with Ume/Jin of the Canine Warriors. The walkthrough said I’m supposed to go back to Kamiki Village and the canine tracker will appear and I’m to go see Hayabusa/Chu and he’ll pick a fight with me. Well, that’s not happening. :( I’ve already beaten Hayabusa in the turnip digging game (and yes, I’m going to him at night, as I know it is the only time he’ll fight me). Also, the festival is supposed to be going on but Mushi is takin’ her sweet ol’ time making that stupid sake. Any advice? Did I miss something crucial? I fought all the dogs so far… at least I think I did. I’m sure I did. Maybe I should go back to the palace and double check? I’m at a loss here. Thanks!

I’m having trouble in my garden. Bear with me, I think it’s psychological?

Friday, July 24th, 2009

Deer are generally a chronic problem here in Montana. So I’m growing a cover crop around the garden with things they should like: field peas, buckwheat, rye.But no, they have little interest in them, they go for the potato plants. But just browsing a little. You go out into the forest and you find that deer follow the easiest paths to conserve the most energy. So I made good paths around the garden and between the rows, but no. They walk right through the soft just planted beds to get to the potatoes.

Then there are the gophers (really ground squirrels) that have riddled the garden with their burrows, coming up in the turnips, lettuce, cabbage etc. They don’t like the cover crop yet either. They have decimated a short row of lettuce, but left the rest of the garden alone. Now even a child knows that lettuce has no where near the nutritional value of the rest of the garden. I think their instincts must be off and don’t know what’s good for them. My question is this.
Do I have a deep-seated psychological need to have my buttons pushed by irresponsible, immature beings since my children are grown up and gone?
