Growing Fresh Herbs?

Tuesday, August 25th, 2009

I just bought a couple pots of herbs. I got rosemary, basil, parsley, and culantro (not cilantro). I read they need alot of light, but I don’t have a south facing window, will an east or west window be sufficient sunlight? Or if anyone knows how many hours of daylight east or west windows get. I have to grow them inside because we our renting the land. Thanks in advance.

Tabbouli/Tabbouleh recipe?

Saturday, July 18th, 2009

I have a lot of parsley in my garden and am looking for a simple, tasty Tabbouli/Tabbouleh that uses fresh parsley. Nothing with pre-packaged mixes - looking for a scratch recipe.

Thanks!

Really good meatballs?

Wednesday, July 1st, 2009

I’ve tried several times over to make meatballs that have a really good, savory flavor to them. Of course, they always come out tasting like plain old hamburger balls. I mix ground beef and ground pork with spices, parsley, parm. cheese, minced onion, and egg and breadcrumbs. I have seen recipes where ground veal is also added to this mixture.. Could veal be the ingredient that I am missing to get a good flavored meatball? Like I said, right now, mine taste like nothing…blah.

Is there food which clarify the pigmentation? Are there whitening pigmentation pills or they don’t exist?

Monday, June 22nd, 2009

I used home-made recipes as lemon juice with bicarbonate(dust),honey and olive oil, vinegar with water, herbal tea as camomile and parsley, milk and oats and hydrogen peroxide(solution) .
I also used cosmetic whitening creams as cucumber cream and avocado one.Anyway, the whitening, polishing, exfoliating and depìgmentating creams are all the same with different names. It’s just to commercialize with them. But they only softened and smoothed my dark complexion. They didn’t clarify the pigmentation of my skin.
I know there are self-sunbathing pills which have carrot extract but I am just looking for the opposite ones.
Unless you can provide me a piece of information,I don’t want to receive sarcastic aswers as “ask Michael Jackson or Latoya Jackson or Prince Roger Nelson “or ” take a talcum box and powder your face with a spongy applicator or a powder puff”.Besides I’not racist at all. It’s only a personal coquetry.I’m a busy , honest and intellectual girl citizen.
Thanks in advance

Recipe Ideas?

Sunday, June 21st, 2009

I have made this Pampered Chef recipe that turns out so great and it’s really easy. I love the idea and and simplicity of buying the refrigerated french loaf dough, filling it and twisting it. The pizza recipe tastes awesome, but I would like some ideas on other fillings to put in it instead of pizza toppings. What other fillings would be good inside of a nice french bread?
Here is the original recipe:
Ingredients
1 pkg (3.5oz) pepperoni slices
1 can Olives -chopped
2 Tlbs. fresh parsley
1/2 cup Shredded mozzarella
2 Tlbs flour
1 Garlic clove
2 Pkgs refrigerated bread dough
1 Egg
1 tsp Italian Seasoning
2 Tlbs Grated Parmesan
1 can Pizza sauce

Preparation
Preheat oven to 375 Dice pepperoni. Combine pepperoni, olives, parsley, mozzarella, flour, garlic. Place bread dough, seam sides up, slice each loaf length wise, end to end, cutting halfway through to center of loaf, spread open flat. Lightly sprinkle additional flour evenly over dough. Create well down center of each loaf. Spoon half of the pepperoni mixture down center of each loaf. Gather up edges over filling, pinching firmly to seal. Place loaves seam sides down in an X pattern on Rectangle Stone. Crissross ends.

Brush egg white on loaf, sprinkle with seasoning. Cut 3-inch slit in each of the top sections of the twist to reveal filling using a serrated bread knife. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese. Bake 30-32 min. Serve with warm pizza sauce if desired.

Sunday, June 21st, 2009

The recipe calls for 1/2 cup of fresh parsley but our local store was out. How much dry parsley flakes should I use instead? Thanks.
